About The Position

We are seeking a high-velocity Telecom Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end execution of network transport projects. This is a critical "air traffic control" role where you will manage the lifecycle of NetBuilds, coordinate complex IP grooms with international partners, and act as the primary liaison with 3rd party vendors like Equinix and CoreSite. If you excel at untangling MAC conflicts and navigating Global Change Request (GCR) processes to hit aggressive migration deadlines, this is the role for you. Requirements

  • Project Lifecycle Expertise: 5+ years of experience managing telecom infrastructure projects, specifically in transport, grooming, or migrations.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and verify 3rd party vendor cross-connects and interpret complex circuit design updates.
  • Vendor Management: Proven track record of managing "Meet-Me-Room" vendors (Equinix, Coresite, etc.) and understanding their ordering workflows.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to coordinate between offshore teams (Infosys), internal account teams, and external customers.
  • Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Lumen Ecosystem Knowledge: Preferred experience with Lumen (formerly CenturyLink/Level 3) internal databases (NAT) and processes (GCR/NetBuild).

Responsibilities

  • NetBuild Management: Submit, track, and close Design Update NetBuilds; proactively resolve MAC (Modify, Add, Change) conflicts to keep builds on schedule.
  • Change Management: Submit Global Change Requests (GCRs) to schedule groom activities and ensure timely customer notifications.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination: Lead coordination efforts with Infosys for IP grooms and manage 3rd party vendors (Equinix, Telx, CoreSite) for cross-connect execution.
  • Field & Site Support: Open Exception Tasks for field work at remote sites and prepare comprehensive 3rd party cutsheets.
  • Procurement & Provisioning: Obtain Customer LOAs via account teams and place orders directly with 3rd party vendors for equipment/panel cross-connects.
  • Decommissioning: Manage the full lifecycle of Decom NetBuilds to successfully decommission TIDs.
  • Reporting & Governance: Maintain real-time project status within the NAT database and provide high-level reporting to the Program Manager.
