About The Position

Position Summary: The Technology Training Manager (TTM) supports WestCare Foundation’s Information Services (iServ) Division by leveraging digital skills, teaching skills, technical writing, and knowledge of the organization to facilitate improved technology utilization across the enterprise. The TTM aims to optimize IT return on investment by increasing employee productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Essential Job Functions are below. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works with the Director of IT Project Management to develop a Technology Training Program that supports WestCare staff on software and hardware used throughout the enterprise. Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates an engaging and effective new employee technology orientation program addressing common onboarding requirements. Conducts weekly “Technology Onboarding” live webinars for new hires. Conducts monthly “Digital Deep Dives” webinars showcasing tips and techniques for enterprise hardware and software. Conducts periodic enterprise-wide technology training/needs assessments and recommends program changes, updates, and/or improvements. Develops and maintains user-friendly instructional materials related to the training of applications and systems including eLearning solutions as well as assisting in the testing and documentation of applications and settings for new systems and software. Materials may consist of manuals, quick reference guides, knowledgebase articles, interactive simulations, instructional videos, and supporting documentation, and will be provided whenever possible in both English and Spanish. Helps test new and updated software applications to ensure that they work as expected and are user-friendly. Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in technology training and development. Works closely with WestCare’s Training Department to promote technology training opportunities and develop and integrate content into the Relias Learning Management System (LMS) as appropriate, using tools such as Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate. Gathers feedback from trainees after each educational session to identify opportunities for improvement Accommodates WestCare’s international presence in Micronesia and the Caribbean by scheduling training sessions during regular and outside regular work hours, as necessary. Work with Information Services leadership and staff to implement WestCare’s values, mission, and strategic goals and build a team-oriented environment that promotes positivity, servant leadership, accountability, collaboration, dependability, diversity, equity, fairness, inclusion, information-sharing, integrity, open-mindedness, and tolerance. Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency with hardware and devices used across WestCare including desktop, laptops, iPhones, iPads, and desk phones.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with digital content creation, including documents, images, audio, and video.
  • Knowledgeable about cybersecurity awareness, social media, and data management.
  • Knowledgeable about traditional and modern training methods and techniques.
  • Knowledgeable about learning management systems and instructional design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment in a manner that is pleasant and professional.
  • Access to a secure and suitable remote work environment with high-speed internet to perform job duties effectively in a remote capacity.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build relationships, negotiate, and resolve conflicts in a remote setting.
  • Strong communication, project management, task management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion and manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
  • Ability to respond as needed to crisis situations in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a successful background clearance.
  • During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
  • CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test, if applicable.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, teaching, or another relevant field required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a training coordinator, training facilitator, trainer, technical writer, or similar role.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to attend conferences, visit WestCare locations, or provide in-person training.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Achievement of or a willingness to obtain industry certifications related to technology and training.
