About The Position

BTIG is seeking an experienced Windows Desktop Support Engineer to join our Technology Department in New York. This role provides in-person support for our local Trading Floor and corporate users, as well as some remote assistance. The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and passionate about improving BTIG's technology platform.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of customer-facing IT support, preferably in a financial services environment (brokerage, hedge fund, or investment bank).
  • Experience supporting C-suite executives and other demanding users.
  • Windows 11
  • Microsoft 365 Suite and basic understanding of endpoint management tools (SCCM, Azure Intune)
  • Understanding Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Understanding of Enterprise cloud infrastructure (Azure)
  • Familiarity with basic ITIL procedures.
  • High school degree required; college degree is strongly preferred.
  • Must have passed the MS-900 exam or be able to pass it within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical assistance, resolving end-user issues via our ticketing system (ServiceNow), phone, remote support, and desk-side visits.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices) and software (M365 Suite, antivirus, softphones).
  • Support trading floor systems, including market data feeds (Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, ICE, Fidessa) and voice systems (Cisco, IPC turrets).
  • Troubleshoot hardware, Windows 11 and application issues.
  • Provide network support and troubleshooting for both wired and wireless configurations.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and networking teams to investigate the root cause of issues.
