About The Position

POSITION TITLE: Technology Technician FLSA: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Technology Operations and/or Technology Coordinator TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: A full contract for this position is 240 days, with benefits as specified in employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on actual start date. LOCATION: Rogers Center QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent, required. Strong knowledge of computers and related technologies or in relevant fields. Strong knowledge of infrastructure requirements and components of local area networks or in relevant fields. We operate with transparency. We prioritize student and staff safety. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs necessary maintenance and delivery of student 1:1 devices, as assigned. Install and maintain projectors, smartboards, CATV and document cameras. Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; ability to coordinate multiple tasks at one time. Install and maintain network, CATV, A/V, video surveillance, and fiber-optic cabling in a K-12 environment according to industry standards and best practices, as assigned. Installs and maintains network infrastructure equipment such as wall-mounted racks, patch panels, switches, and any other related equipment, as assigned. Assists with physical installation of video surveillance cameras and DVR's, as assigned. Assists with moving, focusing, or adjusting video surveillance cameras as needed, as assigned. Assists in removal and maintenance of audio/video equipment such as LCD projectors, speaker systems, and other related equipment, as assigned. Prepares and maintains accurate records. Work with a variety of data and utilize specific, job-related equipment. Research and implement preventative maintenance procedures for district technology devices. Maintains prompt and regular attendance and demonstrates the ability to maintain positive professional working relationships with others . Work additional hours as directed. Maintain emotional control under stress. Maintain confidentiality. Present and communicate in a professional manner. Attend trainings as required. Other duties as assigned by administration. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Must have the ability to lift at least 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
