About The Position

Maricopa County is seeking a Programmer I to design, develop, and deliver technology solutions supporting essential department programs, including a case management system. The role involves full-cycle application development, system integration, testing, deployment, and documentation in a collaborative, onsite environment.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Framework
  • Experience with C++ in application or systems development
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-Driven)
  • Experience working with Dataverse
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem
  • Experience with source control tools (Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong problem-solving , communication , and analytical skills
  • Minimum 1 year of professional computer programming experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Program Managers to understand business processes and develop technical solutions
  • Design, code, test, deploy, and document applications across the full SDLC
  • Develop custom tools and services using Microsoft .NET APIs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues
  • Develop new programs of moderate to high complexity using standard methodologies
  • Participate in inter-agency data exchanges and criminal justice system integration projects
  • Conduct thorough testing and manage application deployments
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including: User manuals Data dictionaries Code documentation Change management logs
  • Participate in project meetings, technical discussions, and cross-functional teams
