P2S is an award-winning engineering firm named "Best Place to Work" for the past 15 years. The internship program aims to offer a positive work/training experience aligned with career goals and education level. Interns will be part of the Low Voltage Technology Group, gaining hands-on experience in office and field settings and actively contributing to client projects. The program emphasizes real-world industry exposure, including visits to project sites and internal training opportunities, fostering a unique learning experience and encouraging participation in company events. The Low Voltage Technology Group focuses on the assessment and design of Telecommunications Infrastructure and Systems (Communications cabling, server rooms, telecom rooms, optical fiber cabling, WiFi), Audiovisual systems (Paging, Mass Notification, Digital Signage, Conference room systems, Classroom systems, video walls) and Physical Security systems (Access Control card readers, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection) The Summer Internship lasts 10-12 weeks, starting in June and ending in August - September, depending on the candidate's availability. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Electrical Engineering or other relavent studies.
  • Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and multiple-engagement environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas; detail-oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus
  • FE/EIT is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in the execution of ongoing projects.
  • Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Contribute to the design process by creating and modifying engineering drawings.
  • Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate design concepts.
  • Assist in conducting tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of engineering solutions.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify and address potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Generate reports and summaries to communicate project progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and feedback.
  • Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous learning and development within the engineering field.
