About The Position

St. Mark’s Episcopal School seeks a Technology Integration Specialist to enhance learning through the implementation of technology across our campus. As a key member of the technology team, this role will work closely with the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Academic Support, and Division Heads. The role is crucial for the success of students and faculty and is responsible for facilitating technology-related teaching and learning in the classroom.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in education with documented experience with integrating technology and project based learning.
  • A passion for learning and sharing technology with students and faculty.
  • Ability to interpret curriculum, application and integration with educational technologies.
  • Expertise in Apple hardware, Mac OS and iOS software and G Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Highly motivated individual who self identifies needs and develops solutions and improvements/innovations to integrate technology in meaningful ways across the school.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, demonstrate, and support the integration, adoption, and implementation of technology in the classroom to enhance student learning.
  • Create, promote, and facilitate technology professional development for faculty.
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Curriculum to assist teachers with lesson planning to include technology integration throughout their curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Curriculum to develop and lead innovative projects with classroom teachers that integrate technology across the curriculum and subject areas.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Academic Support with online testing and test administration.
  • Develop and deliver training to students, faculty, and staff in the use of hardware and software in 1:1 and group settings.
  • Research, evaluate, and promote new emerging technologies that support classroom instruction and enhance teacher options for content utilization and lesson integration through innovative use of technology.
  • Manage and support the learning management system.
  • Assist with start/end of year technology procedures and training including classroom set up, distribution of devices for students and faculty, and onboarding training.
  • Support students in the online learning environment and monitor for student success.
  • Assist technology department with supporting and maintaining student devices while providing technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Willing to teach a related elective/club, if needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology or the Head of School.
