Job Description Summary: The Integration Specialist is responsible for configuring, validating, and maintaining integrations between the Craftable platform and third-party systems such as POS, accounting, and vendor platforms. This role supports successful customer onboarding by ensuring integrations are implemented accurately, data flows reliably, and issues are proactively identified and resolved. The Integration Specialist works cross-functionally with Implementation, Product, Engineering, and Support teams to troubleshoot technical issues, improve integration processes, and maintain detailed integration documentation. Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential for success in this role. Overview: The Integration Specialist is a key member of the Implementation team responsible for executing, configuring, validating, and maintaining high-quality data integrations between the Craftable platform and third-party systems. This role is technical and hands-on, requiring working knowledge of APIs, FTP/SFTP file transfers, and SQL to validate configurations and troubleshoot data discrepancies. Integration Specialists partner closely with Implementation, Product, and Engineering teams to support successful customer onboarding, ensure integration reliability, and continuously improve integration processes. The position requires strong analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in a technical integration, systems analyst, or technical support engineering role, preferably within a SaaS environment
  • Working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP/FTP file transfers, and structured data formats such as JSON and XML
  • Experience using SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with CRM or project management systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Integration Management: Integration Specialists execute and maintain customer integrations between Craftable and third-party systems including POS, accounting, labor, vendor, and financial platforms.
  • Responsibilities include obtaining credentials, configuring connections, completing data mappings, validating incoming data accuracy, and monitoring integrations post-launch to ensure stable and reliable data flow.
  • Specialists collaborate with Implementation teams to support project timelines, maintain clear internal communication, and ensure integrations follow established standards and configuration best practices.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Integration Specialists investigate and resolve integration issues using SQL, Postman, logs, and internal reporting tools. This includes identifying sync failures, performing root-cause analysis, validating corrective actions, and documenting resolutions.
  • For complex or recurring issues, Specialists partner with Engineering, Product, and teammates to escalate findings, provide technical context, and contribute to long-term reliability improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaboration is central to the role. Integration Specialists work closely with Implementation, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support teams to deliver accurate and timely integrations. Specialists communicate status updates clearly, provide technical guidance to cross-functional partners, and contribute to team problem-solving and knowledge sharing.
  • Documentation: Integration Specialists maintain clear and standardized documentation for all integrations including configuration steps, credential tracking, data mappings, troubleshooting notes, and post-launch validation results. They contribute to internal documentation libraries and continuously improve templates and guides to enhance consistency and knowledge transfer across the team.
  • Data Mapping: Assist clients with data mapping and migration, ensuring data integrity and accuracy during the onboarding process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and recommend improvements to our integration process, tools, and documentation to increase efficiency and scalability.
