This role will serve as the Technology Engineering Lead for Agentic AI Solutions, responsible for the design, integration, and execution of agentic systems within enterprise applications and workflows. The role sits within the Technology organization and partners closely with Data, AI, Operations, Product, and Business leaders to modernize decision-making, reimagine workflows, and safely scale agentic capabilities across the enterprise. The role focuses on advanced, non-deterministic engineering capabilities, including multi-agent architectures, orchestration, runtime controls, and human-in-the-loop systems, while ensuring solutions align with the Enterprise AI Operating Model, governance frameworks, and enterprise risk appetite. This role operates across delivery models based on solution risk. It will lead Technology execution in cross‑functional squads in collaboration with AI team, where AI team retains accountability for model risk, compliance, and governance, and this role owns agentic engineering design, secure integration, and operational controls aligned to enterprise standards. This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 10+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years leading advanced engineering teams in enterprise environments.
  • Deep experience with agentic AI concepts and architectures, including multi-agent systems and nondeterministic workflows.
  • Strong systems thinking with proven ability to deliver production-grade, regulated technology solutions.
  • Experience operating within highly regulated industries (insurance or financial services strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, matrixed teams and navigate complex governance models.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively across Technology, Data, AI, Risk, and Business leadership.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering strategy, design, and execution of agentic AI systems embedded within enterprise applications and workflows.
  • Design and implement multi-agent architectures, including agent orchestration, task decomposition, memory, reasoning, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Lead the development and deployment of agentic platforms at scale, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.
  • Define and enforce CI/CD pipelines tailored for agentic systems, enabling production readiness in accordance with enterprise standards.
  • Partner closely with Data & AI leaders to translate enterprise AI strategy and roadmaps into Technology execution plans, with clear alignment on risk tier, governance expectations, and decision rights.
  • Participate in hybrid delivery squads for regulated and higher-risk use cases, contributing Technology leadership and aligned with AI operating model around product and risk ownership.
  • Work with Operations and Business leaders to ensure agentic solutions are fit-for-purpose, consumable, and measurable in production.
  • Implement Technology engineering controls required to support enterprise AI governance, including logging, observability, testing, rollback mechanisms, and audit readiness.
  • Enforce established AI governance frameworks, including model risk management, explainability, fairness, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with AI, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Architecture teams to ensure secure, compliant AI implementations and adherence to insurance regulations, data privacy laws, and internal risk standards.
  • Ensure final approvals and risk decisions are routed through appropriate AI governance bodies, consistent with the Enterprise AI Operating Model.
  • Establish and evolve engineering standards for agentic systems, including prompt management, evaluation, observability, testing, CI/CD, and lifecycle management.
  • Define and enforce Technology-owned reference architectures and integration patterns for agentic AI within enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with platform and architecture teams to ensure reuse, consistency, and scale across agentic implementations.
  • Act as a Technology and engineering advisor, in partnership with Data & AI leaders, to Business Insurance and other business units on how agentic capabilities can be safely embedded into workflows.
  • Translate business objectives into engineered solutions with clear performance metrics, operational outcomes, and ROI.
  • Ensure deployed agentic solutions deliver measurable business value while operating within approved risk boundaries.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor for advanced and non-deterministic engineering talent across Technology.
  • Support the enterprise AI-first engineering agenda, including modern software delivery practices, productivity acceleration, and responsible experimentation.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams focused on agentic system execution and integration.
