Responsible for performing diagnostic imaging exams; preparation, and administration of recommended adjunct radiopharmaceuticals in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, radiation safety, and MRI safety. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce diagnostic images including handling of radioactive materials, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Provides guidance to technological staff in order to ensure a high quality of work. Assists in the orientation and training of newly hired staff. Responsible for assisting with the scheduling, staffing, and operational aspects of the nuclear medicine section in the department. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.
