About The Position

Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work <80>-hour, Variable shifts. Under the indirect supervision of the attending physicians, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The Nuclear Medicine Technologists maps radiopharmaceuticals using a camera, measures radioactivity using Geiger counters, monitors wipe tests and dose calibrations, and administers radionuclide dosages. This position reports to the department Manager or Director of Imaging Services and is responsible for observing all radiation safety regulatory requirements. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Successfully completed a program in radiological technology.
  • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire. Or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire.
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
  • 6 months of nuclear medicine experience in an acute care setting.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of nuclear medicine experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities
