About The Position
To provide technical assistance to engineering and corporate staff.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification and the use of drawings, specifications, basic math and technical knowledge.
- Requires 80 hours of NDI formal training.
- Up to one year experience in nondestructive testing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical assistance, under the direct supervision of the engineering staff in compiling technical information, solving problems and assisting in preparing reports working from various procedures and standard practices.
- Researches, computes, charts, plots, reads and measures engineering or test data.
- Assists engineering staff in compiling data and preparing engineering reports.
- Operates computer equipment to process engineering data.
- May be required to help prepare engineering data sketches.
- Requires minimal contact with personnel in engineering to obtain and furnish information during training period.
- Direct observation of a certified Level 2 in NDI is required for all Accept/Reject decisions
