About The Position

WR has an opportunity for a Technician, Lead to provide full-time support at the NIWC PNT Lab, supporting system integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Perform system setup, integration, and testing. Support lab maintenance (test equipment, cabling, cleanliness). Assist with overall lab operations and upkeep. Collaborate with Electronics Engineers to discuss layout, assembly procedures, and resolve technical issues. Perform mechanical assembly and integration of equipment. Execute standard and custom military and commercial connectorization. Recommend changes to circuitry or installation specifications to improve assembly and maintenance efficiency. Set up standard test apparatus or develop test equipment and circuitry for functional, operational, environmental, and live testing. Analyze and interpret test data. Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components; document performance results. Continuously improve lab efficiency, quality, cleanliness, and capability. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5)+ years of progressive experience supporting production, integration, installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance environments.
  • One (1)+ year of experience providing technical guidance to junior technicians.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, operating instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, and correspondence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required to start
