Job Summary Under direct supervision, perform basic daily laboratory tasks as they relate to cell culture and media preparation in the Cell Biology Group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Biology or related discipline.
  • 0-1 years related experience in biological lab.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Must have basic knowledge of cell culture and basic laboratory techniques.
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to maintain communication across functional groups.
  • Able to communicate effectively in a small group or one on one setting.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills are a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cGMPs or regulatory affairs pertaining to the pharmaceutical and biological industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory activities necessary for cell culture including but not limited to the maintenance of host cell lines, the preparation of media, and basic, routine testing of cell lines.
  • Prepare reagents and tests samples.
  • Work within a class II biosafety cabinet to maintain sterile aseptic environment.
  • Perform technical reviews of cell line paperwork.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
