As a Technician Development Academy Electric Power Generation Intern Trainee, you’ll work with Caterpillar generators that are powering the world! Why Ohio Cat? Be part of a booming field with unmatched job security. Work on state-of-the-art generators and large engines. Make a real impact by keeping essential services running. Program Highlights: Eight-month program combining instructor-led classroom, lab, and shop experience. Program alternates weekly between one of our Ohio Cat training facilities (Cleveland or Columbus) and your home shop. ~640 hours of hands-on training. Comprehensive training in: CAT System Fundamentals Safety & Rigging Machine Familiarization Electrical 1 & 2 EPG Basics 1-3 Engines 1 & 2 Large Engine Applied Failure Analysis Generator Preventive Maintenance ARC Flash NFPA 70/110 And MORE
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Interest in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Motivated to join a fast-paced, high-growth industry.
Responsibilities
- Learn to service and maintain Caterpillar generators and engines.
- Develop expertise in electrical systems and generator operation.
- Collaborate with industry leaders and serve vital customers.
