The Technician Assistant position at Premier Lifts is an entry-level role that supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of accessibility equipment such as elevators, platform lifts, and stairlifts. This role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the vertical transportation industry and will cover Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland, with the office located in Hunt Valley, MD.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Capability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to lift to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-town assignments.
• Commitment to safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a mechanical or construction role is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Equipment Installation: Support the setup of elevators and lifts by helping with the assembly, alignment, and securing of components.
• Maintenance Support: Aid in routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshooting Assistance: Help diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues under the supervision of experienced technicians.
• Worksite Preparation: Prepare and maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring tools and materials are readily available.
• Documentation: Assist in recording maintenance activities, parts used, and any issues encountered during service calls.
