About The Position

Responsible for revising all EAMS company-authored manuals to ensure the repair station’s system of regulatory manuals remains compliant with current regulations. Create and/or revise (i.e. – research, write, and illustrate) all regulatory documents required for use by the repair station operations (BNA and all additional fixed locations). These regulatory documents include, but are not limited to, RSM, QCM, FM, MTM, CASS, SOPs, FPM, Standard Work, E.O.s, AWAs, QAAs, Supplements, and all associated IPM forms used to support EAMS operations

Requirements

  • High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Prior experience with regulatory manual writing / revisions preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and repair station manuals.
  • Generally, 4 years of experience as an A&P mechanic is preferred.
  • Exceptional writing ability, attention to detail, and a highly organized mind.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong research, investigative, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to write / convey regulatory information in a way that is meaningful to the end users of the repair station.
  • Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and familiar with Adobe Acrobat, Paint Shop Pro, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • A strong multi-tasker with the ability to manage and prioritize numerous ongoing projects.
  • Internal customer focused with good relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Availability for domestic travel, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Technical Documents that meet regulatory requirements for the EAMS repair station and additional fixed locations.
  • Develop the content and layout of regulatory documents to ensure support documentation is accurate, complete, and revised as necessary.
  • Reviews current documents and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods for the repair station.
  • Coordinates with production, quality, and support departments to become familiar with policy, procedures, and methods for each respective group.
  • Confers with Regulatory Entities, Customers, EAMS Leaders, Managers, and Departmental Delegates to establish and maintain regulatory accepted documents.
  • Organizes material and completes document revisions according to established regulatory standards (i.e. - FAA, ANAC, EASA, UK-CAA, Guernsey, etc.) regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Create diagrams and charts to illustrate process flow or decision trees to illustrate the regulatory documentation.
  • Coordinates draft review for relevant EAMS Departments to ensure accuracy and appropriate operational policy and procedures.
