About The Position

The Technical Writer will ensure new and existing publications are written in accordance with established documentation procedures and accurately present details of the product or process. The Technical Writer will review and edit written work as needed, as well as facilitate any requests for additional information needed to complete projects. Accountabilities Create and maintain Service Guides for US and Canada Work on Quality Campaigns as needed, both US and Canada Research data, specifications, components, etc. as required for assigned aftermarket projects Perform all technical calculations as required for the assigned projects Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a team Will have good communication and interaction with the design team and production team Oversee, review and deliver documents to meet target dates (Product Quality Campaigns, Service Bulletins, Knowledge Objects, Service Manuals, Schematic Guides, etc.) Define resource requirements, plan and prioritize resources, and manage personnel in daily duties and responsibilities based upon business and compliance requirements. Provide excellent customer service to all internal customers Other tasks as required. Education/Experience Technical Writing experience and education. Experience working with Service Guides will be considered an asset. Excellent computer skills are essential for this position - Must be able to operate typical computer programs – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Experience in Adobe suite an asset An acceptable combination of education and work experience LEAN training (yellow) an asset Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and electrical circuits are assets Knowledge of and experience with current farming practices and equipment an asset Core Competencies Excellent research and writing skills along with an understanding of information design, information architecture, training material development, illustration and graphic design Ability to deliver high quality documentation with a strong attention to detail Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures Ability to efficiently gather and research information for use in technical documentation Strong communication skills Customer Focus Problem Solving Analytical thinking Detail Orientated Accountability and Dependability Work Conditions Shop exposure may be required if prototyping and testing projects. Mostly office-based. Requirements

  • Technical Writing experience and education.
