Technical Publications Writer - position is for authorizing of maintenance instructions for a complex aircraft. The successful candidate will be able to: Effectively work with multiple disciplines. Utilize Engineering technical data to develop avionic manuals and maintenance instructions. Work in a fast-paced development environment to proactively acquire information required to perform their tasks.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Technical Communications, Aerospace Engineering or other related fields.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather technical data and author maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality, compliant technical publications that meet program and customer requirements.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, design specifications, and test data to write accurate maintenance content.
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with aircraft systems.
  • Familiarity with xml tagging
  • Familiarity with CAD processes and graphic software.
  • Interest in creating graphics from 3D models

Responsibilities

  • Working with a team and independently, to develop and deliver technically accurate technical maintenance documentation
  • Verification and certification of technical publications content to ensure corrective measures are met and documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Communication with Engineering to fulfill program requirements
  • Acquiring knowledge of aircraft operation and maintenance, and being able to leverage that experience in planning and decision-making
