About The Position

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation to support the company’s products and services. This role involves working closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop commissioning scripts, commissioning reports, user manuals, installation guides, technical specifications, and other documentation. The Technical Writer plays a critical role in ensuring that technical information is accurately communicated to customers as well as internal users, enhancing their understanding and effective use of the company’s products.

Requirements

  • Must have a satisfactory background check.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in using technical writing tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write commissioning scripts for all levels of commissioning
  • Develop, prepare, and/or review of final commissioning reports
  • Develop and create load bank plans for projects as required
  • Develop and write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, technical specifications, and release notes.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and easy to understand for the intended audience.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and understand product functionality.
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with team members on establishing timelines of deliverables to the client based on schedule requirements
  • Create and maintain templates and style guides for technical documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Organize and present technical information in a logical and user-friendly manner.
  • Review and edit technical documentation produced by other team members to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of documentation.
  • Manage and maintain a central repository for all technical documentation, ensuring easy access and version control.
  • Ensure documentation is regularly updated to reflect changes in product features, functionality, and requirements.
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization's goals and adapt to evolving business needs.
