About The Position

Geospatial Cloud Analytics (GCA) is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support the creation and refinement of documentation for federal IT contracts. The role focuses on producing clear, compliant, and well-structured written materials — including technical narratives, past performance summaries, and supporting documentation — in response to government solicitations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and project teams to ensure all written deliverables meet federal requirements and company quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of technical writing experience in a federal contracting or IT environment (internships may count).
  • Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into plain, compliant language.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency solicitation structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience writing for IT, cybersecurity, cloud services, or audiovisual systems projects.
  • Knowledge of DoD or Intelligence Community contracting environments.
  • Ability to create simple graphics and visual aids to enhance written content.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and format technical content for proposals, contract deliverables, and project documentation in support of federal IT efforts.
  • Review and interpret solicitation requirements (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) and ensure written materials meet stated guidelines and compliance criteria.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to accurately convey technical, operational, and management approaches.
  • Maintain consistency in style, tone, and terminology across documents.
  • Edit existing materials for clarity, grammar, and compliance.
  • Organize, store, and manage proposal and contract documentation using company templates and SharePoint.
  • Assist in the preparation of graphics, charts, and tables to support written content.
