About The Position

About the Role In this position, the Technical Writer will serve as a key member of ZT Systems. The Technical Writer is responsible for partnering with different teams across the company, primarily Engineering and Manufacturing, Engineering, and Regulatory Compliance, to document all aspects of work processes in a system integration environment and creating documents including, but not limited to User Manuals, Installation and Maintenance Manuals, Datasheets, and etc. for use by both internal teams and customers. The Technical Writer would also work with different teams across the company to understand their processes and record them into documents accessible for reference across the company.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related work experience in technical writing.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with strong technical attitude working in a fast pace environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Willingness to learn photo and video editing and other tools as needed
  • Strong evidence-based writing skills to work in partnership with Manufacturing and Engineering to produce broad based Engineering technical documents, including user manual interfacing and printed documentation to create clear and usable product documentation for end-users.
  • Flexibility, attention to detail, and prioritization skills are critical to ensure deliverables meet schedules.
  • Strong ability to anticipate dependencies, proactively communicate potential issues before they become problematic with a positive attitude is a must.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset
  • Ability to work overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Agile PLM is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create documents and videos such as, but not limited to, User Manuals, Installation on Maintenance Manuals, Datasheet, Service Videos etc. for both internal teams and customers reference
  • Update existing technical documents to reflect hardware or procedure changes to ensure documented materials are up-to-date and to create multiple versions of documents dependent upon the audience and/or user community
  • Collaborate with various Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to gather the necessary information to create the documents and training materials.
  • Must be technically savvy with the ability to learn servers architecture to create technical documentation in collaboration with other teams.
  • Ability to have processes explained to them and map the processes out into a comprehensive document which can be followed and replicated by impacted teams as necessary
  • Take pictures and videos of hardware and system components and use photo and video editing tools to incorporate into documentation.
  • As needed, provide internal engineering technical and regulatory documentations support
