About The Position

MAG Aerospace is bidding on a high level government satellite communications support program and recruiting for a Tech Writer / SME who will be responsible for updating and validating the 53 SOPS WCG. ALL positions concerning this effort are contingent upon contract award Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to : Write clear, compliant, succinct, and compelling proposal sections and proposal-related documents that meet corporate quality and format standards, adhere to corporate style guides, and require little to no copy editing or proofing Integrate Win Themes, strengths, discriminators, and clearly convey the benefits of our solution to the customer into proposal response text Collaborate with the Capture and Proposal Managers to identify required content for responses Effectively utilize existing documentation and proposal material to address recurring content inquiries and develop tailored proposal responses Engage with Business Development Managers, Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and other technical resources to draft content for RFI, Sources Sought, Market Research or RFP responses and other required documentation Research information to be included in proposal documentation, which may include, but is not limited to, conducting interviews with subject matter experts (in-person or virtual), attending meetings, and gathering and evaluating source information Synthesize text and ideas from multiple sources, including SMEs and consultants; Compile information for each section and edit language to ensure one voice. Edit for consistency, clarity, grammar, and syntax, and compile to meet customer requirements Manage multiple concurrent assignments, prioritizing appropriately to meet required deadlines and content production requirements (page or word count) Populate and maintain a library of approved proposal and marketing content

Requirements

  • 5 years experience as a technical writer / editor
  • 5 years experience with SATCOM technical writing or SATCOM operations
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, compliant, succinct, and compelling proposal sections and proposal-related documents that meet corporate quality and format standards, adhere to corporate style guides, and require little to no copy editing or proofing
  • Integrate Win Themes, strengths, discriminators, and clearly convey the benefits of our solution to the customer into proposal response text

  • The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD).
