You will be a Technical Writer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team, Special Programs group. Our team generates complex technical documentation and proposal materials for our customers. Your responsibilities will include: Working with Special Programs staff to effectively develop technical documents, reports, proposals, and presentations Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to capture technical knowledge and convert it into concise, user-centric content Recommend and implement improvements to technical documentation, templates, and overall content strategy Utilize generative AI for developing accurate technical content in a collaborative environment Exercise judgement and problem-solving skills to independently complete assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Generative AI for technical writing
  • Demonstrated ability to create clear, concise process documentation for complex technical subjects.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing technical data and ensuring accuracy.
  • Technical Aptitude: Quick learner with the ability to understand complex engineering concepts.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Nice To Haves

  • 0-1 years professional experience in technical authoring, documentation, or a comparable military/academic setting.
  • Development of enterprise-wide style guides and documentation frameworks.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, WordPress or other CMS platforms.
  • Strong planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of cross functional teams.
