About The Position

We seek a highly motivated and technically qualified individual to join our Training Team. The Technical Trainer will be responsible for supporting SOLiD’s North American customers with technical training of all of SOLiD’s Product Lines both in the field and online. Reporting to the Training Manager, this position is a key contributor to SOLiD's continued growth and success. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a technical background, preferably in the technology field, including knowledge of Distributed Antenna System (DAS) products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base, possess a "can-do" attitude, and take the initiative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or RF Engineering or equivalent experience, with 2+ years of DAS systems deployment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, and experience using instructional media such as projectors and smart displays to facilitate dynamic learning experiences.
  • Proficiency in RF engineering principles, including link budgets and transmission power calculations.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to environments ranging from field sites to classrooms.
  • Demonstrated ability to master new technical concepts quickly.
  • Experience coordinating with sales, logistics, and customer teams to deliver training.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both technical and general.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SOLiD’s ALLIANCE DAS solutions to enhance training delivery.
  • Knowledge of competing DAS/Optical products and their capabilities to provide competitive insights.
  • Experience with the Absorb e-learning platform.

Responsibilities

  • Training Delivery Deliver engaging in-person and online training, including demonstrations and hands-on exercises for industry professionals.
  • Proctor certification exams as required.
  • Develop curriculum and deliver training for internal SOLiD employees as needed for new hires and as new processes are rolled out.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned by management Content Development:
  • Provide feedback to the Training Manager for course updates.
  • Create short-form online training videos to enhance the LMS platform.
  • Assist with managing the LMS database, including registering, monitoring, and editing user accounts.
  • Collaboration:
  • Partner with sales teams to identify customers, and locations, for training sessions.
  • Collaborate with the internal logistics team to manage training equipment shipping.
  • Maintain and manage training equipment, including DAS components, test equipment, and associated hardware.
  • Maintain Technical Expertise:
  • Stay updated on DAS/Optical industry trends, carrier needs, and competitors’ products.
