About The Position

The purpose of this position is to assist CAM with the Ethington Theater. Student will aid the technical director and master electrician in execution of designs for Ethington Theatre’s main stage productions which includes but is not limited to: Set construction Welding Light focus/hang Operating shop tools and machinery including but not limited to woodworking tools, steel cutting and grinding tools, and electrical equipment

Requirements

• Student should have a working knowledge of basic construction, lighting, and tool usage.
• Familiarity with theatre methodology is highly recommended.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders and work at height
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial standing with the University.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with theatre methodology is highly recommended.
