About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking a student assistant to support GCU's mission through Student Engagement's event space and entertainment center: The Riverbed. Purpose within the Organization: The purpose of this position is to assist students, staff, and guests at the Riverbed with enthusiastic customer service in order to provide a positive and entertaining atmosphere, while accomplishing daily responsibilities to contribute to the ultimate goal of building community at Grand Canyon University.

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master's program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
• You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in The Riverbed.
• Hand out and retrieve gaming equipment including (but not limited to) billiards, ping pong, air hockey, etc.
• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, stage and other heavy miscellaneous equipment (30+ lbs).
• Assist students and staff during various social events.
• Attend to the general cleanliness and maintenance of both the desk space and the recreational area.
