We are seeking part-time Technical Support Specialist for a hybrid role with some time in our Alexandria, VA office and some hours remote work-from-home. Interested candidates must live in the United States and be eligible to work for any employer without work visa sponsorship. Work duties will include various projects related to support for our internal employees and external Hospital customers. You must be available to work part-time hours during standard EST business hours.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically skilled, and able to work independently in a fast-paced corporate environment while maintaining a professional and positive company image.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop hardware and software support or configuration
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of Mac and Windows-based desktop hardware and software
  • Experiencing administering the Google Workspace applications
  • You are tech-savvy and comfortable leveraging technical tools
  • Strong and reliable internet access from your home
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Availability to work part-time hours during EST business hours

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and mobile devices across the organization.
  • Install, configure, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade laptop hardware and software
  • Troubleshooting equipment support, inventory tracking, and mobile device management.
  • Troubleshoot issues in person, by phone, email, and through helpdesk software
  • Track, manage, and ship IT equipment and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Document troubleshooting steps taken and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Other technical support tasks as needed
