About The Position
We are seeking an entry level, Technical Support Specialist to support the operation of the chemistry lab and maintain maximum operational efficiency in the synthesis and purification of peptides, and oligonucleotide. The successful candidate will have familiarity with laboratory equipment and chemicals, strong organization skills and ability to execute standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and chemicals
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to execute standard operating procedures
- Must have previous familiarity with research laboratory environment
- Motivated and proactive in maintaining the operational efficiency of the lab
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with maintaining inventory and ordering supplies highly preferred
- Previous experience with peptide or oligonucleotide chemistry
Responsibilities
- Perform operational tasks to support the synthesis and purification of peptides and oligonucleotides (preparation of building block solutions, chemicals, buffers)
- Maintain a consistent inventory of lab supplies
