You will help organizations design, secure, and scale modern cloud platforms by architecting Azure infrastructure, security, and AI solutions. In this role, you will guide customers through cloud transformation initiatives that emphasize reliability, security, and responsible AI adoption, delivering outcomes such as improved resilience, reduced risk, optimized cost, and accelerated innovation.
As a trusted advisor, you will align business goals with Azure platform capabilities while representing Softchoice as a leader in Azure infrastructure, cloud security, and applied AI.

Requirements

• 5+ years architecting, selling, or delivering Azure solutions.
• Deep expertise in Azure infrastructure, security, and AI services.
• Strong technical writing, stakeholder management, and advisory skills.
• Microsoft Azure (Compute, Networking, Storage, AKS, PaaS)
• Microsoft Entra ID & Governance
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud & Defender XDR
• Azure AI & Azure OpenAI
• Azure DevOps & GitHub
• Understanding of project management principles and their application to Statement of Work (SOWs)
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
• Selfstarter with strong leadership skills
• Consulting or professional services background
• Ability to travel up to 15%
• Ability to travel between the US and Canada
• College diploma or equivalent experience in business, computer science, or information systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead outcome-focused conversations that align Azure infrastructure, security, and AI investments with business and IT strategy.
• Develop cloud and platform roadmaps based on the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework.
• Guide customers through cloud adoption, platform modernization, security posture improvement, and AI readiness.
• Bridge executive vision with hands-on technical execution across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
• This is a senior individual contributor role with architectural ownership across customer engagements.
• Architect end-to-end Azure solutions including compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services.
• Design resilient architectures using Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, and event-driven services.
• Define consulting and implementation scope through Statements of Work (SOWs) and partner with delivery teams to ensure secure, scalable, and well-architected implementations.
• Design Azure landing zones, subscriptions, and management groups aligned to enterprise governance standards.
• Architect hybrid connectivity using Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, VPN, and Azure Arc.
• Apply Azure Well-Architected Framework principles to ensure reliability, security, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
• Architect Zero Trust cloud security solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and identity governance.
• Design cloud security architectures using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Defender XDR. Implement cloud security posture management (CSPM), policy enforcement, and compliance controls.
• Align security architecture with cloud infrastructure and AI workloads.
• Design and govern Azure AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, and machine learning platforms.
• Architect AI-enabled applications using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and intelligent data access patterns.
• Establish responsible AI practices including security, monitoring, and governance.
• Lead customer-facing Azure AI demonstrations and architecture sessions.
• AI solutions are designed on top of secure, well-architected Azure platforms.
• Enable sales and delivery teams on Azure infrastructure, security, and AI solutions.
• Lead through influence, collaboration, and technical credibility.
• Contribute to internal intellectual property, best practices, and Azure go-to-market strategies.
