The Central Engineering Team is responsible, responsible for leading process and policy standardization across our shops, providing engineering expertise to support the gate process, working in close partnership with Channel engineering teams and building the engineering organization with skillsets needed to become more vertically integrated. On the Central Engineering Team, the Technical Shop Coordinator will be responsible for operationalizing standard work processes into inducted engines across the gate process. This includes planning and executing kick-off meetings with channels to review and analysis work scopes, identify risk of non-standard contracts and provide engineering support of inducted engines throughout the gate process. In addition, this role involves interaction with Channels on closing key actions to keep overhaul of modules and engines on track. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or High School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of experience work experience in repair and overhaul environment)
  • 5+ years of experience in turbo-machinery equipment Aeroderivative gas turbine, Heavy Duty gas turbines
  • Working experience with Aero policies (O&M, IPB, IRM) and internal documents SPL/ IRD (shop product limits, industrial repair documents)

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of the proposed Scope of Work in the contract with Channels prior Kick-Off Meetings
  • Identification of non-standard scope of work and perform risk assessment for AAJV shops
  • Ensure alignment between Channel scope of work and router scopes in ARMS
  • Support shop optimization initiatives to improve kick-off meeting effectiveness, ensure clear router scope to shop and ensure RBOM implementation
  • Participate in Kick-off meeting to advice on scope of work based, inspection criteria and service bulletin recommendation based on Channels requirements
  • Call to action of head of engineering in case of specific and peculiar Scope of Work
  • Ensure consistency in Visual Inspection Report (VIR) across engines
  • Provide engineering support for NSR/NCR communication and disposition
