About The Position

What You'll Do: Help develop and deliver hands-on and classroom HVAC training. Train in branded HVAC equipment. Train contractors on installation, troubleshooting, controls, and system operation Conduct in-branch, on-site, and virtual training sessions on branded equipment. Create training materials, presentations. Build live training units for hands on training. Provide Technical support to contractors over phone and on site when needed. Support technical team with product knowledge and application expertise. Partner with manufacturers to stay current on new equipment and technologies (overnight travel may be required) Assist in troubleshooting advanced technical issues when needed. Promote training programs to customers and help grow attendance. Visit different branches to assist with unit repairs as needed. What We're Looking For: 10+ years of HVAC field experience with technical training. Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to teach technical concepts clearly to different skill levels. Comfortable speaking in front of groups and leading hands-on labs. Preferred Qualifications EPA Section 608 Certification Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience Experience with inverter technology, controls, and high-efficiency equipment Familiarity with load calculations and system design (Manual J, D, S) Proficient with basic computer tools (PowerPoint, training platforms, etc.) Work Environment Combination of classroom, training lab, branch locations, and field visits Frequent interaction with contractors, technicians, and internal teams Regional travel between NC and VA (often 50%) Why Johnstone Supply?
