About The Position

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager: Ground Support – Denver, Colorado Sandvik Mining is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment, tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry. J OB PURPOSE The Technical Service Manager will align division al organizational requirements. They will be dedicated to product development, product support, QC, and engineering initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience or related.
  • Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent
  • PE cert ificate or equivalent
  • Experience with the MSHA approval process and US mining laws .
  • Electrical/Hydraulic or Mechanical engineering experience .
  • Experience working with or around heavy equipment.
  • Experience managing/developing people.
  • Experience working across borders and navigating language barriers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Strong organizational skills a must .
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to make effective decisions within LOA .
  • Must be responsive to customer and division issues needing immediate attention.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Experience with automation systems, controls, and CAN communication systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in German a plus.
  • Experience working with mechanical cutting equipment.
  • CAD experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the daily activities of a team of engineers and product support professionals.
  • Overseeing MSHA approval processes for pertinent equipment
  • Oversight of q uality control operations at the Brier Hill facility
  • Delivering product-specific training to local service teams and customers.
  • C oordinate product development initiatives
  • S erves as a key liaison with the division to ensure alignment and successful execution of technical and product support strategies.
  • Select, lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of engineers, technical specialists, and administrative support staff.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and ensure engineering, QC, and product support activities are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Create and implement career development programs to strengthen team capabilities and support long-term growth.
  • Develop medium-term planning strategies to enhance and expand technical service processes.
  • Ensure technical procedures and projects are executed accurately and efficiently.
