About The Position

Johnstone Supply is seeking a dynamic Technical Service & Commercial Sales Director to lead both our technical support operations and commercial sales strategy. This high-impact, dual-role position is critical to delivering best-in-class technical expertise to our contractor customers while driving sustainable revenue growth across our commercial markets. You will serve as the senior leader for technical services and commercial sales—bridging deep HVAC/R knowledge with strategic sales leadership to strengthen Johnstone’s reputation, expand market share, and elevate the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced HVAC/R technical support on systems, controls, and components to customers and internal teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Service Advisors and Technical Support staff, fostering a high-performance, customer-first culture.
  • Resolve escalated technical issues, warranty claims, and complex product inquiries with urgency and professionalism.
  • Ensure consistent technical training for employees and customers, including new products, installation best practices, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner closely with manufacturers to stay current on product updates, recalls, and technical bulletins.
  • Improve service workflows, documentation, and processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and Johnstone policies.
  • Track service KPIs, analyze trends, and report on performance and customer feedback.
  • Develop and execute commercial sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial accounts, contractors, and strategic partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities, negotiate agreements, and close deals to grow Johnstone’s footprint.
  • Collaborate with branch managers and sales teams to align technical support with sales objectives.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and customer needs to guide pricing and product strategy.
  • Equip sales teams with technical expertise and product knowledge to improve close rates and customer confidence.
  • Analyze sales performance, forecast revenue, and report results to senior leadership.
