About The Position

This is a field-based, hands-on hardware technician position, not an IT or help desk role, focused on the physical repair and maintenance of multifunctional office equipment such as copiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines. The Technical Service Representative (TSR) will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and handling part replacements. While the role includes some basic network connectivity setup for printing and scanning, the main objective is to ensure the machines are operational and customers are satisfied. The position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, enjoy working with their hands, and thrive on solving real-world problems in various field settings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior electrical/mechanical/computer experience

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical degree
  • Prior Xerox experience

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on copiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines
  • Perform preventative maintenance and part replacements
  • Set up devices to print and scan on basic networks (connectivity knowledge helpful, but this is not an IT role)
  • Provide basic training to end users on hardware functions
  • Work independently in the field, while staying connected with your service team
  • Keep detailed service records and submit mileage, payroll, and call reports
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance (yourself and your company vehicle)
