Technical Sales Specialist's primary responsibility is to provide proposals/quotes for customized projects, by focusing on in depth understanding of customer needs, formulating an effective analytical solution for it and further provide a quote with the statement of work. Maintains direct contact with customers and help to understand and develop specific value proposals for target customers. Supports sales team by developing and maintaining positive customer relations with clients/customers, which can substantially affect service and/or product revenue(s). Focus of work may be in pre-sale and/or post-sales. Develop technical knowledge of broad range of analytical methods. Employees are expected to comply with ISO 27001 standard and company requirements for Information security. This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Requirements

  • PhD/MS or B.S in Chemistry or equivalent education and experience.
  • Prior experience (academic or industrial) in chemistry and/or materials science.
  • Prior experience in sales or project management.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and effective interpersonal, influencing skills and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PPT).
  • Must be able to handle multiple functions at the same time and maintain good organizational skills.

  • Experience with organic chemistry, extractables/leachables, polymer chemistry.
  • Strong writing and speaking skills.
