About The Position

Powerex, Inc., a world leader in semiconductor manufacturing and sales, is seeking a leader for its Value-Added Products business that includes HV & LV IGBTs, Diodes, Hybrid and full SiC solutions primarily produced in our production lines in Youngwood, PA focused on mission critical applications in Military/Aviation and Industrial Markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for growth of the business through analyzing opportunities, providing/overseeing quotations, and interfacing with customers to understand key opportunities and support closing of orders. The candidate will also provide direction to product development team. The ideal candidate will have three years or more experience in the power market, a desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked team environment, and be a self-starter. This candidate will have both North American and Global responsibilities.

Requirements

  • BSEE
  • Proven ability to grow business profitably
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills for interfacing with sales, engineering, and production
  • Experience in quoting and winning profitable business opportunities
  • Strong technical skills in power products applications
  • Ability to prioritize activities daily and the flexibility to adjust when circumstances dictate a change is required
  • Ability to establish reasonable project timetables and the drive to meet them
  • Ability to review and understand terms and conditions and contracts
  • The ability and willingness to travel 40% including some international travel
  • Must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
  • Prior IGBT, Rectifier, Thyristor, Mosfet Power Module experience

Nice To Haves

  • Power Module Design Experience is a plus
  • Prior Application Engineering Experience is a Plus
  • Knowledge of Miller Heiman Strategic Sales a Plus

Responsibilities

  • Visit, build relationships, and close orders with key customers
  • Evaluate new markets and customer opportunities
  • Drive growth initiatives
  • Develop value propositions
  • Analyzing opportunities, providing/overseeing quotations, and interfacing with customers to understand key opportunities and support closing of orders
  • Managing day to day business activities including interfacing with customers, sales team, factory for existing business, and new opportunities
  • Support New Product Introductions including scope definition, customer interface, and engineering interface. Evaluate PRISM processes for improvement in project selection, and project management of New Product Introductions
  • Support setting and implementing strategic direction of business
  • Measured on growth
  • Manage Product Display/Marketing in Trade Show events
  • Manage an Outside Sales Team including Inside Sales Representatives
