About The Position

The Technical Sales Director will lead aggressive business development efforts with a strong focus on identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities. This role requires a self-driven individual with a deep technical background and an ownership mindset-someone who takes initiative, drives results, and is accountable for revenue growth through strategic customer engagement and solution-oriented selling.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior technical sales leadership and B2B manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success in managing technical customer-facing teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement.
  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Ability to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities through consultative technical selling.
  • 5-10 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in an Technical Sales or Business Development Leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team to drive innovation and company growth.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies that align technical capabilities with business development goals to generate new revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through consultative selling and technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote capabilities and convert qualified leads.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and development for all team members.
