About The Position

Exus Renewables North America is an independent investment and asset management firm focused on the renewable energy sector (wind, solar, and battery storage). Exus combines comprehensive financial, technical, and operational know-how to provide turn-key investment and asset management solutions to its investors and clients. We are a growing, global partnership with offices in Europe, North America, and South America. Exus is seeking a Technical Report Writer that will be responsible for supporting the Asset Management and the Technical Operations teams to perform operational reporting duties tailored to specific customer and key stakeholder needs. This role will be responsible for generating operational reporting packages inclusive of technical details regarding the performance of renewable generating facilities, financial insights, and commercial aspects. Please note: this is an onsite role with 4 days in office, 1 day remote, with reasonable flexibility in our downtown Pittsburgh office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, or other technically related field. Masters preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a technical report writer. Direct experience in renewables preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Native or strong proficiency in English, speaking and writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with analytics and automation of report file generation using Python and/or VBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate data sources cross-departmentally to generate verbose operating reports capable of conveying the current state of operational facilities to key stakeholders and owner’s groups.
  • Manage all assigned operational reporting needs to include generating and validating routines, scheduled, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Create, modify, and develop reports and report templates using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word in line with stakeholder requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reporting protocols, including sources of data, data validation and reconciliation, calculation methods for key performance indicators, commentary aggregation, and final review processes.
  • Maintain operational report distribution lists to ensure delivery to key stakeholders.
  • Recommend process, procedural, reporting, and system changes to improve function.
  • Suggest modifications to data sources, tables, and processes to automate reports and analysis.
