About The Position

GFT is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Technology team. This is a remote position but work hours will be aligned with Eastern and Central time zones. The GFT, Strategic Services team, which includes Human Resources, Legal, Accounting & Finance, IT Services and Marketing & Communications, are essential for managing and supporting the company's global operations. Shared Services are part of a broader strategy to transform the business and improve efficiency. The support of this amazing team of professionals is the backbone of our ability to deliver infrastructure consulting and design services. What you’ll be challenged to do:The Architecture-Engineering-Construction (AEC) industry faces unparalleled, but very exciting, challenges based on the fascinating technology we now employ, the long-term growth that the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) represent for our industry, and the rapid changes to our workforce. The position works as part of our successful IT Program Management Office while supporting our Technology@GFT program to ensure success of our technology initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and on budget. This position will interact with various project stakeholders across the organization, resulting in meaningful contributions to our firm and our clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of IT project management experience, including enterprise software implementations and digital transformation initiatives, with advanced proficiency in Agile Development (SCRUM) and waterfall processes
  • Experience managing projects in the AEC industry
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies
  • Experience using industry project management software
  • Ability to manage project, daily tasks, and business user requirements effectively
  • Experience delivering projects that span multiple business lines
  • Experience with business analytical and project management software such as Power BI, Monday.com, etc.

  • Proven experience in innovativeness, ability to integrate disparate products
  • Experience managing projects for enterprise software implementations or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven strong communication and demonstrated leadership skills working in a fast-paced global engineering company.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages projects from start to finish
  • Tracks progress of, and holds resources accountable for, activities across business groups.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope and handle change requests effectively.
  • Meets regularly and builds strong relationships with team, business users, and stakeholders
  • Assesses business impacts of projects
  • Assists business analysts in documenting business processes and developing technical requirements
  • Research, prototype, and recommend technology for solutions
  • Proactively resolve issues and remove roadblocks to maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards.
  • Partner with leadership to identify the required skills and resource requirements for project teams.
  • Deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget while meeting quality standards.
