About The Position

We are seeking a Technical Project Coordinator to support our growing portfolio with the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service (USDA FS). This hybrid role combines project coordination and technical network engineering responsibilities to ensure seamless delivery of network surveys, equipment refresh, installations, break/fix support, and managed services across USDA FS sites nationwide. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and technical networking understanding of Meraki Equipment, enabling them to manage cross-functional projects and guide field technicians while engaging directly with stakeholders, subcontractors, and government personnel. Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Project Management and Microsoft Suite Tools
  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination and LAN/WLAN network engineering.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, routers/switches, wireless access points (Meraki required).
  • Experience with project management principles, documentation, and team leadership.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project), and project tracking tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Must be a U.S Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as CAPM, PMP, CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience with RF surveys, ACAS, or managing multi-vendor teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple concurrent projects across USDA FS sites.
  • Coordinate with USDA, vendors, and internal teams to deliver solutions aligned with customer objectives.
  • Track and manage project milestones, schedules, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate project meetings and report progress to stakeholders via dashboards, status updates, and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and serve as primary interface for customer site POCs.
  • Lead field technicians in site surveys, equipment installs, and cutover activities.
  • Conduct remote configuration of LAN/WLAN equipment (e.g., Cisco, Meraki)
  • Perform circuit test and turn-up (TTU) activities and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Open and manage trouble tickets with AT&T and escalate technical issues as needed.
  • Maintain equipment accountability and oversee logistics around procurement and staging.
  • Ensure complete and timely documentation of survey and install results for customer records.
  • Navigate customer governance for approvals, escalations, and compliance.
  • Develop or refine technical procedures, SOPs, and documentation templates.
  • Provide updates and feedback to the program leadership team.
  • Monitor technician performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
