About The Position

USA Hockey is seeking a team‑oriented Technical Project Coordinator to support technology projects and process‑improvement initiatives that strengthen our mission of growing the sport of ice hockey. You’ll collaborate closely with IT, operations, and vendors to coordinate project activities, ensuring smooth communication and awareness across teams. This role is ideal for someone who is evaluating a career in Technology Project Management/Business Analytics with a focus on Sports Management/Administration. Please note: This role will start as a temporary, part-time position at under 30 hours per week. After evaluation it may have the potential to become a FT permanent role.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Sport Management, or similar focus.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in project coordination, technology support, operations, or similar roles.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills! Must be able to build good relationships and rapport across the organizations.
  • Microsoft environment/ Office and PM tools
  • SharePoint experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a sports organization, national governing body, or youth sports ecosystem is a bonus, but not required.
  • Bonus for Copilot experience
  • Bonus for AI/notes experience (organizing, utilizing, referencing, etc)
  • Bonus for JIRA/Atlassian experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution of technology projects and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain project artifacts — project plans, requirements, schedules, meeting notes, task trackers, change logs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between USA Hockey operational teams, IT, and vendors.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies; escalate issues when needed.
  • Support requirements definition, design efforts, testing, UAT coordination, and feedback collection for technology solutions.
  • Help develop and maintain data mappings, system reference documents, or tech playbooks.
  • Create and maintain project SharePoint pages in support of project communication and documentation.
  • Create or update project artifacts (ex: schedules, risk management reports, status updates, meeting Action items).
  • Help standardize processes across teams (e.g., request intake, approvals, reporting).
