As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with technical infrastructure capacity planning and resource management.
  • Experience leveraging data to identify trends in an engineering environment

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with Google infrastructure (e.g., Compute and Storage).
  • Experience with software or infrastructure program leadership.
  • Experience or knowledge with compute (e.g., GCU, GPU, TPU).
  • Experience in portfolio management, Return on Investment (ROI) analysis or driving business justification frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Govern, manage, and refine internal storage capacity utilization review processes.
  • Drive search supply/demand decisions including assisting executives with scenario management and trade-off decision-making.
  • Partner with engineering to design, build and administer tooling to help scale the resource planning function.
  • Drive process and communication cadence to foster alignment on resource health and efficiency efforts within commerce and across partner product areas (e.g., Ads, Core, Storage, etc.), Finance and Capital Engineering teams.
  • Work on continuous improvement initiatives related to capacity provisioning and request to launch lifecycle velocity.
