Technical Product Manager-Security Master-Long Term Consulting
About The Position
Security Master Product Manager:Will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for security products or features. You will align security capabilities with business goals, translating customer needs and compliance requirements into actionable technical requirements for engineering teams, spanning cloud security, data protection, and authentication. About the firm: This young new age technology FinTech firm will provide ample opportunity to new contractors to become full time employees if the contractor(s) meet or exceed expectation in their initial contracting role. Location: Downtown Manhattan New York Assignment Type: Hybrid in most cases but in special circumstances remote could be a possibility if the firm deems the candidate to be exceptional and the candidate lives outside of the New York Tri-State Area. Candidate Citizenship: Candidate must live in the United States and either be a U.S. citizen or have an existing work Visa otherwise please "Do Not Apply". Start Date: Immediately.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years in product management, often with specialized experience in dealing with Security Master data and software development.
- Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud security (e.g., AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault), data privacy, and encryption.
- Technical Understanding: Ability to translate complex security threats into product requirements.
- Strategic Thinking: Balancing security requirements with user experience and business needs.
- Communication: Presenting technical security concepts to executives and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Roadmap: Develops the product strategy, vision, and backlog, focusing on security functionality and reducing enterprise risk.
- Customer & Market Needs: Identifies market trends and customer requirements to create competitive advantages.
- Product Lifecycle & Delivery: Oversees the entire lifecycle, from threat modeling and secure design to launch, collaborating with engineering and DevOps teams.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Partners with security operations, legal, sales, and executive leadership to ensure compliance and adoption.
- Metrics & KPIs: Defines and tracks success metrics, such as security posture, reliability, and user adoption, utilizing data-driven insights
