About The Position

Our client is a technology and data-driven commercial insurance wholesaler backed by a leading private equity firm. They are combining the worlds of insurance and technology to create an insurtech powerhouse. We’re supporting them in finding a Technical Product Owner who owns the technology and platform capabilities supporting a core insurance line of business. In this role, you’ll be responsible for defining, delivering, and evolving the systems required to operate an insurance program at scale.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of commercial insurance product management experience in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong technical fluency, including APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
  • Practical experience with insurance policy administration system (PAS) and quote-to-bind workflow.
  • Deep understanding of UX impact.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces, using experimentation and learning to guide decisions.
  • Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within agile or iterative product development frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with workers’ compensation programs is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver platform capabilities that support the full insurance lifecycle, from submission and quoting through policy issuance and ongoing servicing.
  • Lead integrations with core insurance systems to ensure accurate data exchange, operational reliability, and scalability.
  • Configure and maintain program logic, including products, rules, and underwriting workflows, with minimal reliance on engineering resources.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to expand product adoption through cross-sell and bundled offerings across insurance lines.
  • Champion an intuitive, efficient end-to-end user experience for distribution partners and internal teams.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and data teams to balance business goals with technical feasibility and system performance.
  • Collaborate with insurance operations, underwriting, and carrier partners to translate business needs into platform functionality.
  • Lead discovery efforts using research, data analysis, and prototyping to validate solutions prior to full-scale development.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to leadership through structured governance and stakeholder forums.
