Dura-Line, An Orbia Business is Hiring for a Technical Learning Specialist in our Elyria, Ohio Facility (100% on-site) As an Hourly Technical Learning Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in developing, delivering, and administrating training programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of plant-based employees STARTING PAY: $25/HR and up, Depending on Experience The schedule for this role is: Monday-Friday, 7am-4:30pm during the initial training period. The schedule will need to be flexible to cover all shifts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of experience, either directly or indirectly, leading or supporting the transfer of technical knowledge, capabilities, processes, operations to other employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient at writing detailed work instructions for training new and existing employees​.
  • Computer savvy in, MS Office, SharePoint, e-learning, learning management system (LMS), quality management systems, learning development tools, etc.
  • Experience with creating training programs, technical writing and instructional design for manufacturing hourly roles and adult learners.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal Training Certification, or relevant experience and certifications from formal program (example – Certified Training and Development Professional) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all training documents, qualification records, logs, skills, certifications, and metrics for the plant to ensure compliance to the requirements.​
  • Execute/Implement at the site the training material to include standard work/ videos for on-the-job training, testing and verification of training.​
  • Conduct periodic audits of processes, training systems and provide feedback to participants and management.​
  • Facilitate necessary training activities including train-the-trainer for Leads, formal classroom instruction and informal on-the-sport coaching as deemed necessary.​
  • Develop and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness for their plant​
  • Review and ensure all processes are standardized throughout the site from designated manager.
  • Additional duties as requested by Management
