The Technical Learning Designer plays a key role in building the structured, skill‑based training programs that enable operational excellence across manufacturing, installation, and field operations. Your Impact As a Technical Learning Designer, you will design, build, and continuously improve technical training programs that develop real‑world trade competencies across Accelevation’s operations. Partnering closely with Accelevation technical school leaders and subject matter experts, you will translate complex technical knowledge into effective, engaging learning experiences that directly support product quality, safety, and execution in the field. This role is foundational to how Accelevation scales talent. You will own learning solutions end‑to‑end; from analysis through implementation; while balancing speed, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast‑growing, technically complex environment.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in instructional design, technical training, or learning and development
  • Demonstrated experience working with subject matter experts in a technical, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment
  • Working knowledge and practical application of the ADDIE instructional design framework
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into effective learning solutions
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting trade skills training, manufacturing operations, or technical field roles
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and competency‑based training models
  • Experience developing both instructor‑led and blended learning programs

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop end‑to‑end technical training programs using the ADDIE framework (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate)
  • Create structured, skill‑based learning packages that support manufacturing, installation, and field operations
  • Develop learner‑centered materials including instructor‑led content, job aids, assessments, simulations, and blended learning solutions
  • Ensure instructional content reflects current processes, tools, standards, and safety requirements
  • Partner closely with Accelevation school leaders and subject matter experts to analyze skill gaps and define learning objectives
  • Facilitate content discovery sessions and translate raw technical expertise into structured, scalable curricula
  • Manage SME relationships with professionalism and confidence, guiding decision‑making when needed
  • Support course implementation within Accelevation Academy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical standards
  • Design and administer assessments to measure skill acquisition and training effectiveness
  • Gather learner feedback, performance data, and operational outcomes to inform continuous improvement
  • Regularly evaluate training programs and recommend enhancements based on data, feedback, and evolving technical requirements
  • Maintain and update learning assets to ensure relevance, accuracy, and scalability
  • Pilot new instructional approaches, technologies, or methodologies with a willingness to take informed risks and learn from failure
  • Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Make informed decisions related to instructional approach, prioritization, and delivery methods
  • Meet timelines while balancing quality, stakeholder needs, and learner impact
