About The Position

As a Technical Lead, you will be working closely with a team of project managers, developers, and engineers in an Agile environment for developing innovative solutions for our customers. You are also responsible for designing and developing AI and cloud-based solutions. Developing best practices, integrating modern systems, and collaborating cross-functionally with product and data engineering teams. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Nuvitek's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership roles
Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GovCloud
Hands-on experience with AI/ML and LLMs (e.g., Azure OpenAI Service, RAG pipelines)
Experience designing distributed or event-driven systems
Strong knowledge of API integrations and multi-system interoperability
Experience with secure system design (Zero Trust, FedRAMP environments preferred)
Proficiency in modern programming languages in full-stack environments such as Python, JavaScript and others)
Strong problem-solving and cross-team collaboration skills

Experience working on federal or regulated environments
Experience working in an agile/scrum environment

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions (AWS GovCloud / Azure)
Develop and manage AI/LLM solutions (RAG pipelines, agent-based workflows)
Define and enforce architecture standards, review gates, and best practices
Integrate systems across modern and legacy interfaces (REST, APIs, SOAP, data feeds)
Implement event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration
Establish AI guardrails, including prompt security and risk mitigation
Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver MVP and scale solutions
Support technical training and knowledge transfer to government stakeholders
