About The Position

Sage V Foods, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a leading provider of innovative rice, grain, and plant-based products. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Intern to support our Maintenance and Engineering teams. This internship is for four months and it will provide hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment, assisting with maintenance documentation, safety compliance processes, and technical administrative support. The ideal candidate has strong computer skills, a foundational understanding of technical or engineering concepts, and a desire to gain real-world experience in industrial maintenance operations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed technical, engineering, maintenance, or related coursework
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
• Basic understanding of industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or manufacturing environments preferred
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with safety practices, including LOTO procedures
• Previous hands-on or shop experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance paperwork, documentation, and recordkeeping
• Support Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and safety compliance tracking
• Update and maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records
• Use Microsoft Excel to organize data, track metrics, and create reports
• Prepare documents, forms, and communications using Microsoft Word
• Support team collaboration and communication using Microsoft Teams
• Assist technicians and engineers with projects and daily operational tasks
• Help maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
• Follow all company safety and food safety standards
• Regular and reliable attendance
