About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized, versatile person to join MBH for our 9-week Summer Internship Program. Our internship begins on June 9th and ends August 6th.
Interns should be available to work on site at the Alameda office during that time.

What You'll Do
Conduct comprehensive research into local, state, and national building codes to ensure project designs align with regulatory standards
Participate in rigorous quality control (QC) checks of construction documents to identify discrepancies, ensure technical accuracy, and maintain firm-wide standards
Prepare and finalize technical drawings in Revit, focusing on construction details
Assist in performing detailed code compliance reviews and zoning analyses for various project phases, documenting findings
Attend team meetings, site visits, lunch & learns, and other presentations as part of the intern cohort
Create an internship presentation based on a project completed during the program, present to the organization

Requirements

• Current student participating in an Architecture program or related (bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or technical training program)
• Ability to work on site in our Alameda office for the duration of the program
• Deep interest in the technical lifecycle of a project, specifically regarding code-driven design solutions and the rigorous accuracy of construction documentation

Nice To Haves

• Experience utilizing Bluebeam or Revit for technical markups and document auditing is preferred
